Webinar: Purpose After Ownership

In June we ran a webinar workshop where we took almost 80 dentists through a framework that we use to determine personal readiness, business readiness, and business attractiveness.

The feedback was that it was helpful, so we’re offering another. This one will be focussed on the personal side – specifically on purpose after ownership exit.

In the September issue of Ontario Dentist, I’ve published an article called “Beyond The Op: Exploring Purpose and Identity After Ownership”. Our webinar workshop will be of the same title.

In this one-hour session, we’ll reveal some uncomfortable truths about identity and exits using three exercises for you to complete during and after the session. These will challenge you on:

  • Where your resistance is or will likely come from when inch toward ownership exit
  • The lens through which you see the building blocks of your identity as a practice owner, clinician, and business person
  • Where happiness and meaning come from based on science and how the knowledge of this can influence the outcomes during and beyond practice ownership

There is no charge for attending. The event is scheduled for Tuesday September 15th at 7:45pm EST.

You can register at the link here:

Because this is a workshop, we don’t recommend you attend if you are driving or not entirely available. You won’t get value out of this if you are not able to focus on yourself and the activities we are working on.

Attendees are offered one hour of practice management CE credit for attending.

If you’re considering an exit in 3-5 years, you’ll leave with some questions and tools that will guide some thinking between now and then. Sometimes a single question can transform how you think about your future. It’s happened to me many times.

We hope to see you there.
